Massive left upper abdominal cyst: how to diagnose and what to do

Abstract

We present a case of a large splenic pseudocyst in a 16-year-old female, who presented with a left upper quadrant massĀ and features of gastric outlet obstruction. We discuss the difficulties in diagnosis, the management options and why theĀ definitive treatment of distal pancreatectomy and splenectomy was necessary.
